When Ott was just three years old, she and her younger brother and mother were split up. The incident occurred on December 31st, close to Itzehoe, on the Stör Bridge. After her performance in Berlin, Ott was on her way back to Schleswig Holstein. Five vehicles headed toward Hamburg on the A23 collided at once as bad weather and fog from nearby fireworks made visibility extremely low.
